Large Spotty Fish Platter
A striking statement piece, this large Spotty Fish platter is handcrafted in richly coloured red earthenware clay and embellished with hand-applied shell details. Ideal as an elegant serving platter, sculptural centrepiece or wall piece.
The fish is painted using bespoke slips that I mix in my studio, then finished using the sgraffito technique, where the surface is carefully incised to reveal the clay beneath.
Subtle variations in form, colour and mark-making make every platter an original work of ceramic art.
Approximate size: 44 × 32 cm.
